Only the most fragrant petals from roses grown in the hinterland of Genoa go into this delicate, refreshing, and astringent syrup developed by Pietro Romanengo Confectionery. In traditional herbalism, it is considered a useful remedy for stomach, bowel and throat ailments. It features voluptuous blooms from three different antique rose varieties - the Gallic rose (French rose), the Centifolia Moss Rose (rosa muscosa), and the Beach rose (rosa rugosa). Every spring and summer, carefully hand-plucked petals fill the Fruit and Flowers Atelier with vibrant colours and perfumes. You can enjoy rose syrup diluted in a glass of chilled water or use it instead of sugar in tea, herbal teas or infusions. It is also a fine ingredient in the preparation of various desserts including ice cream, sorbet, panna cotta pudding, fruit salad and crêpes. Only fresh rose petals, water, sugar, and lemon juice with no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives. Our Rose Syrup has been awarded the prestigious title of SlowFood Presidium.
